How this assignment relates to my growth? Parts of any CLOs that address this growth?
Completing this has really helped me understand how the self-reflection essay should be such as its format and content. Being able to view other students’ responses allowed me to see their strategies when doing self-reflections which allowed me to self-assess how I do them. Further when posting my discussion board post I had difficulty with getting sidetracked in my writing. Due to a student and professor Rodwell I was given advice on how to not get sidetracked. This assignment has shown me the importance of engaging with your classmates as many of them could have the answers to your questions.
The course learning outcome I addressed when doing this discussion board assignment was CLO#4. This CLO is the engagement in collaboration a social aspects of writing processes. I achieved this with this assignment because the whole class was able to see each other’s writing processes when writing a self-reflection. Through this collaboration we were all allowed to learn more about our writing techniques and help each other out. Personally, I like to use GIBBS reflective style when doing my essay however, after seeing other students post I realized that there were many more ways to make a self-reflection. These ways include different ways to format the information and how to correlate the assignment to a CLO.
